The brief was to create a Paint Your Own Pottery workshop in the heart of Sofia. This is the first studio in the city of this kind. It was driven by the desire to offer a space where anyone can use a creative outlet to everyday stress.

The studio offers a wide range of ‘raw’ ceramics and invites clients to paint them with special paints, and then the Matzalo team glazes them with liquid glass and fires them at 1016 degrees, so that they turn into durable ceramics, which can even be released in the dishwasher.
The design approach reflects the artistic aspect of the activities in the workshop. Walls were painted with watercolor effects, applying the colors of the brand. Furnishing and lighting represents the drawing lines of a pencil, by the use of thin black linear elements in the design. The craft atmosphere is further underlined by the natural materials applied in the interior.
