Uhingen is a cozy town in Southern Germany, in the lower Fils river valley. The task was to design an Italian restaurant on the Ground floor of an Old German house with a wine cellar in the basement.
The brief was to design a restaurant with a calm atmosphere to consume good Italian wine and food. We developed a design with natural materials, focusing on the rhombus and hexagon shapes and their spatial modifications, playing with solid oak wood and steel. We also designed wooden window casing for the interior, inspired by the old German houses. All the elements taking part in the interior project were later produced by us in our carpentry workshop, including the artworks on the walls.
